So, if you haven't downloaded it yet, scroll down and go to town!

Speaking of freebie hunting, Carol at scraphead has this ADORABLE freebie for everyone!

Just go to scraphead.com and click on the freebies link on the right hand side of the page. You'll find these awesome frames as well as lots of other cute freebies. While you're there check out their store! Everything is 30% when you enter a code you can find on their home page.

As for me, I've been scrappin' scrappin' scrappin' away. Here are a few of my recent LOs.

(Click any of the images to enlarge, all credits can be found in my digishoptalk gallery.)

This is my latest journal entry page. For those of you who may not know, I keep what I call my "weekly digi-journal". I do a journal entry every week and scrap each entry. Sometimes there are pictures or ticket stubs like this page. But some have no pictures at all. It's my new year's resolution and I can't wait to put it all in a book and order at the end of the year!!

Here are few of my 12x12 regular scrapbook LOs I've done recently.

And finally . . .

Anyway - that's what I've been up to lately. My sister in law and new baby niece are in town. I taught my sis-in-law how to digital scrapbook and of course, she's ADDICTED. Her pages are looking REALLY cute. I'm very proud. When I started digital scrapbooking, I didn't know anyone personally who digi-scrapped. But now (since they all wanted lessons) I know three! It's very fun!

{my very first freebie!}

To celebrate my induction into the scraphead.com CT, I decided to make a template out of one of the LOs I recently did and give it away! I loved how my LO came out, and it occurred to me that it might make a cool template. I call it my "Tears, Tapes, and Strips Template"

Here's the LO I did with it!

Full credits can be found in my Digishoptalk Gallery.

Download the template: Freebie links have expired. Thank you for your interest!

Please leave me some love here or on 4shared if you download it. It's my first freebie ever, so I'd really love to hear what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!

{BIG NEWS!!!!}

I have very exciting news to share! I'm a new member of the Creative Team at scraphead.com! For my 'readers' who aren't digi-scrappers, that means scraphead.com liked my work enough for them to want me to promote their products with my own scrapping. A Creative Team (or CT) means that I scrap with the store's products (which they give me) and post my layouts (or LOs) in galleries and generally promote the store. This CT is pretty laid back, so I'm only required to make 3 LOs per month. I post them all around in differnet galleries and actively participate in the forum at scraphead.com. It's going to be awesome!! I'm so lucky to be on the team!

Today I've been able to scrap all afternoon! I've been scrapping my photos from our family's trip to Sea World last January. The kit by Minna Rajala called "Aqua Breeze" is PERFECT for these photos!! It's been such a fun day of scrapping! Here are the results of my day:

I am going to just love being on this CT. The other scrappers that were chosen are REALLY talented. So, I'm very flattered to be one of them. Thanks SCRAPHEAD!! :)

{blogs, blogs, and more blogs}

Lately I've been scrapping or designing blog headers for friends blogs. They saw the blog header I scrapped up for this blog and wanted one of their own. None of them are digi-scrappers, so I thought I'd do a few good deeds and help 'em out.

Where they are not making any money or in any way related to the world of digital scrapbooking, I figured using the products would be ok.

The first one I created was for my friend at the law firm where I work, Angela. Her blog belongs to her AND her fiance. They both post on it. So they asked for a header that was both masculine and feminine with a color scheme of deep red, navy blue, grey and white. So here's what I came up with for them.

Luckily they loved it and its been on their blog for a while now. After Angela's, I offered to do one for my friend Megan at work. I asked her what she wanted but she didn't know what her options were, so I showed her a few cute blog headers that are out there and she REALLY liked Shandy's. But she wanted it a little smaller and more with the color scheme she already had on her blog. So, this is what I did for Megan:

And finally, my sis-in-law, Marci, started a little blog and I created a very cute header for her. She wanted pink, purple, and green and to make it "Marci-ish". So here's Marci's header:

It's really been fun to make these blog headers. It helps to kill the desire to re-do mine every week, but also it makes me feel good when my friends get so excited about stuff I make for them!

So, Shantell . . . are you next? :)

{I've been tagged!}

Andrea tagged my blog. So - now I'm supposed to post 7 interesting facts about me . . . let's see. . .

1) I'm a Disney NUT!!! I love Disneyland so much, its a little crazy. In fact, I even have a Disneyland Photo of the Day Game where every morning Monday thru Friday I email all the members of the game a picture of something in Disneyland. And it can be anything! Just to brighten their day and make them smile. Then on Friday the voting opens. Everyone votes for their favorite photo that week and on Monday I announce the winner and it all starts over again! It's been going on since February, and shows no signs of stopping. (If you love Disneyland - that's only requirement to join - and want to join in the game, leave a comment or email me!) My whole family is a little Disneyland-Crazy.

2) I LOVE to read, and have a secret desire (well, sort of secret, but I guess its not a secret anymore) to write a novel. I started writing one this year actually, but its very time consuming and I have way too many hobbies, so the book got pushed to the back burner. But its fun! But, yeah, I love reading. My mom's side of the family has a Hansen Women Book Club that I belong to. We meet once a month to discuss the book we read (and eat, and chat, and catch up!). It's so much fun!

3) I love New York City! I've been twice and I feel like I could live there. I love the Subway, the buildings, the people, everything about it. It's the greatest city. I can't wait to to Josh there for his first time. Someday.

4) I wakeboard. My family has always boated. Its just what we do in the summer. I love being out on a lake with my family. I love to ride in the boat, and jump in for a dip. And yes, I wakeboard. I'm a big chicken, and I'm the most boring wakeboarder to watch. My dad and brothers do all kinds of tricks and jumps and I just go straight. But I don't care. I just do what doesn't hurt me or make me scared!

5) I have a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Studies. My major was Theatre with an emphasis in Costume Design for film. I spent 1 year at a little college in Seattle called Seattle Pacific University where I studied Fashion Design. There, I realized I really wanted to study Costume Design and get involved in film. So I transferred to the one school I always swore I'd never attend, BYU. I spent 3 busy years there, working on student films, design projects, doing makeup and hair for plays and having a great time doing it. It was a lot of work, but I'm happy that's what I studied. I learned so much.

6) When I was little, I won a hula-hoop contest at a waterslide park. And it was EASY AS PIE. I could hula-hoop forever. When I was little. Now, not so much.

7) And lastly, my favorite CD right now is Mika. It's a little bit like Queen, and I LOVE me some Queen. It's a really great CD. I highly recommend it. I like all kinds of music. There's really not one type of music that I could call my favorite. My iPod is filled with a VERY random assortment.

So - enough about me. Let's go learn more about these girls. I tag: Angela, Megan, and Marci. Go blog 7 interesting facts about you!

{beads!!!}

For a change of pace, I thought I'd blog about one of the other crafts I've just recently learned and now LOVE doing! BEADING!!

It started out as a project for Mother's Day gifts for my mom, mother in law and sisters in law. But now I make lots of gifts for other people. Actually, I just realized I haven't made anything for myself!! Haha!! Wow. That is funny. I think I'll change that before the weekend is over.

Anyway - Here are the pieces I made for Mother's Day. My first projects (click on any image to enlarge):

(our moms got a full set, earrings, double strand bracelet, and necklace)

(the sister in laws got a double strand bracelet)

Well, not only was the jewelry was a huge hit, I was also hooked! I decided to make earrings and necklaces to match their bracelets for both sister in laws for their upcoming birthdays. Tami got hers in May and Stacy got hers tonight at dinner. I didn't take pictures of Tami's necklace and earrings. Oops! But here are Stacy's extras.

In the mean time, I've made a bracelet for Lexi, one of the girls I teach at church, who was turning 16 and moving on to the next class up. And also a couple of baby bracelets for a lady I work with in the young women's program who just had a baby girl (and one for her 2 year old girl too, so she wouldn't feel left out).

Okay - and the last set I've made is a Mommy and Daughter matching set for my cousin and her 1 year old little girl. This one turned out really cute (if I don't say so myself)!

GREAT BIG THANKS to my Aunt Karen and my cousin Brooklyn for teaching me how to bead! It's really fun and such a creative outlet! The possibilities are endless!!

P.S. Have you ever seen "Man vs. Wild" on the Discovery Channel? It's INCREDIBLE!! We are watching it right now. Wow. Check it out!

{boating}

Ok - its like 1 in the morning right now, but I couldn't resist posting the LOs I did tonight. I just loved how they turned out and I wanted my fam especially to see them!!!

I decided to kill two birds with one stone on these LOs. The awesome templates from both pages are for my CT at andilynn designs and the papers are from Shandy at SV Designs for my weekly SHINES submission!! Since I'm leaving on Thursday afternoon for Phoenix, I needed to be as efficient as possible!

Ok - time to turn in! Although, realistically, we are watching a Tivo-ed Red Sox/Yankee game (GO SOX!!!) and its only the 6th inning. So, I'll probably be up for a little longer. Love my Tivo and love my Red Sox!
