We're Going to Disney World!!!!

I have such exciting news you guys!! Josh and I scored a CRAZY deal on flights to Orlando, so we took the plunge and booked a trip to Disney World!! Neither of us have ever been and we're on cloud 9 right now. AND we took advantage of the free dining offer that Disney is offering right now, so our trip is seriously a BARGAIN!! I can hardly believe we are going!!

Our trip is booked for Sept. 29 - Oct. 7. We are staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort. We need lots of restaurant recommendations and tips for our trip!! So, if you have any great ideas, etc. email me at designerbrittney at gmail .com!! Gosh - I can't even believe we're really going. It all happened so fast!!

WOOO HOOOO!!!!!

  4. Oh, lucky girl! I've never been to Disneyland, closer to DW. We got the free meal plan at Christmas - it is a serious bargain. Here are the restaurants we go back to again and again: Sci-Fi Drive In (MGM), Prime Time 50s cafe (MGM), Crystal Palace (Magic Kingom), France Bakery (Epcot), Flame Tree BBQ (Animal Kingdom), Tusker House breakfast (Animal Kingdom). Since you're 3 months out, try to book the breakfast at Cinderella Castle in MK - it usually is all booked up, but keep trying, some do open up sometimes. The Wolfgang Puck at the Marketplace is fantastic and a great deal on the meal plan. Hope this helps!!

Congrats on your 1st DW trip! You're gonna love it! It's a great time to go also. Less crowded. Who is your favorite character? :) I love the Pooh breakfast at the Crystal Palace. Chef Mickey is fun too. It's a great way to get some great photos! We're going to FL in 2 1/2 weeks! YAY! Have a great trip!

  16. I don't want to be a downer ... but book dining reservations ASAP. You're already inside the 90 day window, and everybody else with free dining will be booking along with you.

  18. Prime Time 50s Cafe (don't eat your veggies, put your elbows on the table and don't set the table....you'll find out why), Le Cellier (it books FAST), and if you want to use 2 table service credits then Narcoosee's is AWESOME and romantic. You will have such a blast! Go to the Halloween party too. I'm jealous!

  21. The best Chinese food I've ever had was at the China Pavilion in EPCOT. I think it's called "Seven Seas". It was delicious! The buffet in Canada isn't bad either. I think EPCOT definitely has the best dining, and MGM has the worst. It's not bad, just uninspired.

I haven't been to Disney World since 1999. We're going to Disneyland in September.

    Have fun!

  22. Eeeee! I'm so excited for you- I've never been either, but my husband did tell me plane tix were affordable and we thought of going for our annual Christmastime Disney trip. I just can't handle the plane ride with a 3 year old, so we're skipping it. Oh! I can't wait to see your layouts, lol!

  29. OHANA is AMAZING for dinner!!!! we also love Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Faire for character dining, have heard Le Cellier is awesome too but have never managed to get there, always booked, if you want a quiter area of Pop Century ask for the 70's building, we find it nice and quiet and it's closest to the buses if you avoid the main building and head out the back, enjoy your trip, we are going Aug 23-31

  30. I am so jealous but I was just there in May. You are going to LOVE Pop Century....make sure and go over to the Boardwalk one night to Jellyrolls. Lot of fun!

  37. You're going to LOVE Disney World! I'm really excited for you! Our newest favorite place to eat there is the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. They have a wonderful sweet bread! Our favorite character meal is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (that books up really quick). And I would definitely suggest getting tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party!! It is lots of fun, they have a great parade (love the music!), lots of characters and candy! We've done this the last 4 years, it's fun to dress in costume too! Have a GREAT time!

  40. I don't know how I missed that you're going to WDW! Guess I've been gone too much lately and 10 days of that was in Disney World. We've been 3 times already this year and you're going to have SO MUCH FUN!! You'll enjoy the dining plan. We tried it once and it was way too much food for us "old folks", but you youngsters can handle it. I'll send you an email soon.
