scarlett's birth announcement

My friends and family have all received their birth announcements in the mail (like 2 weeks ago) so I can finally post Scarlett's birth announcement here to show all my online friends without ruining the surprise.

Before you ask - NO! I did NOT Photoshop her into the tea cup!! So many people have asked that!! It's a real life giant tea cup. I found it at WalMart in the garden center back in February. It's actually a planter. You'll definitely see it in more pictures of Scarlett because I totally LOVE IT!

Anyway - we had to be very patient to get this shot of her. And let me tell you we really only ended up with ONE that was perfect! Whew. We took this just a few days after she came home from the hospital.

Isn't she just the cutest?! We sure love her lots.

    I know I already told you how much I love it, but seriously, just so perfect! (I love the Disney touch with the teacup without it screaming Disney!! It was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.)

    My SIL did her boys birth announcement in a tea cup also--aren't they fun??? Great design--esp love her name

    That is PERFECT Britt!!
    I'm super impressed that you got that shot! I bought one of those teacups a few years ago and tried for a shot like that with my friend's baby, but never got anything close to that good.
    I love the background paper and frame that you used too!!

    oh my gosh!!! how adorable! she is beautiful and i love the idea for the photo!! gotta get one of those for our niece lillie before she gets too much bigger. she already weighs close to 12 lbs and she's just a little over 2 months.

    I have followed your blog off and on over the years (sometimes I am VERY bad at blog hopping! lol) and never knew you are a "Leavitt". That is my maiden name...not many out there that spell it that way! Very cool! :-) Catch you around!
